Stone’s reputation as a trusted circular IT supplier to the public sector recognised as it is awarded to IT hardware, asset disposal and services framework
Stone Group, a leading ICT and IT asset disposal solutions provider has announced that it has successfully secured a place on KCS (a division of Kent County Council Commercial Services) framework for lots 1, 3 and 4 for the supply of IT hardware including new, remanufactured, refurbished; and disposal services. Public sector buyers from local government, NHS, education using the national framework to purchase or dispose of IT hardware will benefit from a compliant and simple to use buying process.
Stone Group will be providing its award-winning circular IT service, which enables public sector buyers to not only access cost-effective new, remanufactured, and refurbished technology such as laptops, tablets and desktops, but also to dispose of its technology in a sustainable and secure manner. The service is accredited by the environmental agency and helps organisations to act sustainably when buying new technology and at end of life.
At Stone Group’s WEEE compliant recycling facility sensitive data is erased to the same standards that the Ministry of Defence uses, so organisations using its IT asset disposal service will benefit from knowing that any data is securely wiped and disposed of safely.
Simon Harbridge, CEO at Stone Group, comments, “We’re delighted to have been awarded to this framework as we continue to serve the public sector in the UK. As a long-term provider with more than 25 years experience delivering technology to all facets of the public sector, we understand the increasing pressures faced in delivering digital citizen services. The KCS framework ensures that buyers can access competitively priced technology with market-leading specifications, while working with a trusted partner.
“As sustainability and the environment reaches crisis point, all organisations must look to take responsibility to minimise their negative impact on the environment. We want to work together with public sector organisations – and beyond – to deliver services that support sustainability ambitions and believe that our IT asset disposal service supports circular IT goals for all of our customers,” Harbridge concludes.
In addition to disposal of technology, Stone Group is also able to offer rebates for equipment that can be given a new life.
Stone Group is a trusted partner of numerous leading global technology brands in the public sector, including Microsoft, Intel, HP, Cisco Meraki, Lenovo, Philips, Iiyama and Adobe.
