City life seems to be a key factor in the search for a new home as property seekers in the West Midlands eye up apartments.
With the need to socialise still at the forefront of the minds of homebuyers, there’s a greater focus on city centre living and there are few better places to achieve this than in Birmingham.
As noted by Buy Association, the appeal of city centre apartments comes from people wanting to experience the buzz of their city centres, along with greater mortgage availability for first-time buyers.
What’s more, lockdown saw more people looking for coastal and countryside locations whereas in the early part of 2021, there was an increase of 39% in the demand for flats from January to April.
Barratt Homes West Midlands is selling its final two apartments at its Berrington Place development and keen homebuyers are being encouraged to act fast to avoid missing out.
In a survey by Barratt Homes* among West Midlands homeowners, it was found that 20% of respondents would buy an apartment over a house because they’re cheaper, whilst 19% would choose to do so because they cost less to maintain.
Tanya Silk, Sales Director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “Apartments are growing in popularity due to the appeal of low maintenance living, but also because of the fantastic city centre locations that often come with them.”
“It’s no surprise to see they are so appealing to first-time buyers because of how affordable they are, both in terms of placing a deposit and getting an affordable mortgage deal.
“We have just two apartments remaining at our Berrington Place development and would encourage anyone interested to book an appointment with our Sales Advisers.”
Barratt Homes’ final two apartments are ready to move into and available with prices starting from £228,000.
