Miller Homes has opened the doors to its latest show home in Shrewsbury, the three-bedroom Eaton with local home buyers invited to have a look round – by appointment only.

Located at the recently launched Tudor Park development, just two miles from historic town of Shrewsbury, the new neighbourhood consists of 146 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.

Here, Andy Richardson, managing director at Edward Thomas Interiors, takes us on a virtual tour of the new showhome, sharing the inspiration behind the styling of each room, along with tips for how to recreate the looks in your own home.

Kitchen

The heart of the home, this kitchen diner has plenty of natural light thanks to the large French doors to the garden, which feature a quirky set of curtains. The large dining table and denim blue button back chairs are the focal point, alongside a range of accessories that appeal to bakers and chefs alike, including a personalised Miller Homes, Emma Bridgewater inspired teapot.

Lounge

Inspired by a cosy country theme, we used a palette of emerald, red and blue to create a rich and inviting aesthetic. Two soft fabric sofas frame the edge of the room and a dark blue, button pouffe acts as a central coffee table. To create a warm, hygge style home you can’t go wrong with lots of cushions and throws, which you can either use to add colour or toning. Also, lighting is really important, side and floor lamps offer a great alternative to the main lights and can instantly make a room feel more inviting.

Principal Bedroom

The principal bedroom features a statement floral wallpaper panel behind the bed with beading to either side. The colour palette has been softened slightly with complementary sage green and blush pink shades. One of the big trends at the moment is nature, so as well as adding plants or flowers to your home, try experimenting with floral wallpaper or artwork to bring the outdoors in.

Bedroom 2

With the majority of us working from home, we wanted to use the second bedroom to show the space’s potential as either a guest room or a home office. It features a dedicated desk area with open, wire frame wall shelving and a striking, mosaic inspired wallpaper.

Bedroom 3

We had lots of fun creating this puppy inspired child’s bedroom which includes hand painted murals of dogs of different breeds and sizes. The bed frame is also shaped like a kennel to inspire play.

Bathroom

The family bathroom features dramatic, mosaic-inspired wall tiling to contrast with the calming sage green colour palette. A bridge bath rack is a great storage solution and perfect place for a G&T as you relax in the bubbles!
