PARMIGIANO REGGIANO SPONSORS THE ITALIAN SHOW
Parmigiano Reggiano is the headline sponsor for the event, which is organised by the UK Sommelier Association, I Love Italian Food, and Federazione Italiana Cuochi UK.
The Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium (Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano) will be the headline sponsor of The Italian Show, welcoming trade and press audiences from the UK’s food and wine sector. The event will take place on Monday 30th May at the Leonardo Royal Hotel St. Paul’s, with free tickets available at the following link.
The event will include two competitions, the first of which will be presented by the UK Sommelier Association, who will crown the winner as the best sommelier in the UK, awarding them with the Villa Santi Award. The second competition, The Best Chef of Italian Cuisine – Parmigiano Reggiano Award, is organised by the Federazione Italiana Cuochi UK, which will involve 6 finalists who have been shortlisted from previous rounds. The contestants will be judged by a panel of top Italian chefs, who will ultimately declare the winner the best chef of Italian cuisine, awarding them with the Parmigiano Reggiano Award.
During the event, participants will be able to take part in a series of demonstrations and masterclasses, including a Parmigiano Reggiano Masterclass which will include a tasting and demonstration on cracking open a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano. As the title sponsor, Parmigiano Reggiano will also host product tasting, activities, and a competition throughout the day in the Parmigiano Reggiano area in the main lobby of the event.
The walk around exhibition area will allow visitors the opportunity network and make contacts with F&B producers and protection bodies, as well as taste the products being exhibited.
