Hampton Magna is set to be linked to Warwick Town Centre by a new cycle route thanks to Miller Homes West Midlands.
A contribution of almost £371,000 will help fund the route, which goes along Hampton Road via Aylesford School, is part of a wider package of investment, worth more than £1.4m, into local services and facilities surrounding the new homes builder’s new Montgomery Grange development in Hampton Magna.
In total, Miller Homes West Midlands will be providing £1,474,323, with the majority of the money going towards improving healthcare services and nearby schools, as well as sports and recreation facilities.
Just over £175,500 will be used for acute and planned healthcare services at Warwick Hospital, with a further £51,000 going to the Budbrooke Medical Centre in Hampton Magna.
Meanwhile, more than £238,000 will be given to Warwickshire County Council towards primary and secondary schools in the area.
As well as the new cycle route, more money will be invested to boost local sports and recreation, including £107,785 for new changing facilities at Central Ajax Football Club and nearly £10,000 going towards renovating Styles Close play area. A similar amount will be used to improve playing pitches at Racing Club Warwick, Leamington FC, Ajax Park, Leamington Hibernian and Alvis Sports.
Once complete, Montgomery Grange, which is just off Arras Boulevard, will offer buyers a selection of one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes.
Alastair Parsons, area sales director for Miller Homes West Midlands explains why it’s so important for Miller Homes to be involved in the local community:
“We don’t believe in just dropping in to new areas, building our homes and then leaving. Our aim is to create thriving new neighbourhoods that add to existing communities and to do that, it’s important that we support the local area in a meaningful way. That’s why we’ve announced this latest funding package.
“Hampton Magna is a beautiful village and it’s easy to see why so many people aspire to call it their home. It’s great to see that the money will be used on two areas that many care so passionately about and impact on all our lives, particularly at the moment – healthcare and education.
“Sport and leisure is also hugely important around Hampton Magna, particularly because of how close it is to the countryside. I’m happy we’re able to help improve facilities for so many local teams, as well as provide new options for people wanting to explore the great outdoors such as the cycle route. As a keen cyclist, I’ll certainly be trying the new route out for myself.”
2020 is the 85th anniversary of Miller Homes, and in 2019, it was awarded a five-star rating once again as part of the National Home Builders Federation’s New Home Customer Satisfaction Survey.
