A £1.5million investment by Miller Homes West Midlands is set to be injected into the community of Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of the housebuilder’s latest Warwickshire development, Trinity Fields.

The funds are to be divided between educational facilities, healthcare services and transport such as a new cycle link and road safety scheme.

A contribution of almost £700,000 will help fund the creation of a new secondary school and almost £90,000 has been earmarked to help increase the nursery and pre-school provisions at the nearby Bishopton Primary School, ranked ‘Good’ by Ofsted. Adaptations worth almost £14,500 are also set to help provide greater support to children with special educational needs in the area.

To support the learning and development of both the new and existing community, over £4,600 will be used to provide new and replacement library stock at Stratford-upon-Avon Library on Henley Street.

As well as boosting the educational needs of the community, a combined total of almost £260,000 will be used for acute healthcare services at Warwick Hospital and provision for additional facilities within the practice areas of Arden Medical Centre, Bridge House Medical Centre and Trinity Court Surgery.

Further investment also comes in the form of over £470,000 which will go towards enhancing transport facilities in the surrounding areas. A cash injection of over £208,000 is set to improve the frequency of the popular Number 19 bus service, enabling it to operate between 7am and 7pm every 20-minutes.

Other significant transport contributions include £21,300 for the creation of a cycle link between the new neighbourhood of Trinity Fields and Stratford-Upon-Avon Town Centre, as well as improvement works at the Bishopton Lane roundabout and the provision of a road safety scheme on Alcester Road.

The first release of homes at Miller Homes’ Trinity Fields neighbourhood has just launched online. Comprising 138 homes, it will offer buyers a selection of one to five-bedroom homes, including two-bedroom bungalows.

Commenting on the importance of these latest investments into the Stratford-Upon-Avon community, head of sales for Miller Homes West Midlands, Donna Salmon, said:

“The last year has demonstrated just how crucial support for our local communities is – whether that’s helping our neighbours and independent businesses, or ensuring our children feel supported with quality education.

“In particular, I’m delighted that a large portion of the funds is set to go towards educational facilities in the area, including adding to the local library collections for children and adults to enjoy. In addition, the investment in enhanced transport services and healthcare should make it easier for the community to access essential treatment when they need it.

“Our new Trinity Fields neighbourhood is a great location for a range of house hunters. It has great historic connections and a friendly atmosphere, stunning beauty spots within easy reach and fantastic transport connections from Stratford-Upon-Avon Parkway train station which is just a 10-minute walk away.”
