There’s now under a month to go before the deadline for this year’s Millennium Point Charitable Trust Scholarship competition.

One lucky West Midlander will have their STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) degree tuition fees fully paid – a life-changing opportunity for anyone looking to study at BCU’s Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and the Built Environment. The competition is a partnership between the multi-award-winning charitable trust and Birmingham City University, both of whom will be jointly funding tuition fees.

The latest winner will follow in the footsteps of Asima Adnan, a mum of five from Dudley, who is now studying for a BSc in Planning. The 2022 competition marks over £100,000 in scholarships the Millennium Point Trust has funded at Birmingham City University.

Following the closing date for online applications on March 11th, 2022, a handful of applicants will be invited to a final assessment day in May 2022 before a winner is announced.

The scholarship is open to school leavers and professionals alike who are looking to start a STEM-related career.

The scholarship is the flagship initiative from the Millennium Point Charitable Trust and is funded by the charity in partnership with the university. In 2021, the charitable trust invested more than £1 million in STEM-related organisations, projects, and initiatives, based in the West Midlands.
