In recognition of their hard work throughout the pandemic, staff at a Cannock care home have received a sweet treat from local developer David Wilson Homes as part of Good Care Month (1st – 31st July).
The 50 employees at Tudor House Care Home received a donation of Cadbury’s Heroes, Milk Trays, Roses, Quality Street, Celebrations, and Haribo in an effort to show the homebuilder’s appreciation for their hard work during the past year.
The care home is located close to the homebuilder’s Hednesford development, The Fallows, and staff continued to provide extraordinary care for their residents despite the challenges of the pandemic.
Sally Nutbourne, Home Manager at Tudor House Care Home, said: “What a lovely surprise from David Wilson Homes. The team were delighted to receive so many treats and are extremely grateful for this recognition after such a demanding time.”
Good Care Month was created by Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) to celebrate the dedication of cares across the UK. It is celebrated each July, and allows staff to share stories and challenge the stigma that can arise in the care sector, as well as encouraging others to consider a care profession.[1]
Dominic Harman, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “Supporting local communities is absolutely key for us and we wanted the staff at Tudor House Care Home to know we are thankful for their hard work during this difficult time.
“As the staff worked tirelessly throughout the last three lockdowns, we can appreciate how tirelessly these fantastic employees have been working to keep their residents safe.
“This small gesture of appreciation is to let our local heroes know that our community is grateful for them, and to encourage them to keep up the amazing work they’re doing.”
