Allstar, one of the UK’s leading electric vehicle (EV), fuel and business expense payment companies, announces that its EV charging network is officially the largest and fastest in the UK.

Critical in supporting businesses in their transition and adoption of EVs by easing one of the most prevalent barriers to entry, Allstar Chargepass is accepted across the length and breadth of the UK. Over half of all the region’s public charge points are covered by the network, where it can be used at over 51,000 of the UK’s chargers across more than 19,000 locations. Allstar is the first company to have such coverage.

Allstar Chargepass’ network is powered by its sister company, Plugsurfing, one of Europe’s largest roaming networks and e-mobility providers. Plugsurfing has supported Allstar in achieving this significant milestone, cementing Allstar’s place as the market leader for supporting businesses with fleets at any stage in the electrification journey.

As part of the zero emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate, the most ambitious regulatory framework for the switch to EVs globally, 80% of new cars and 70% of new vans sold in Great Britain will be zero emission by 2030, and 100% by 2035.

Allstar Chargepass is a UK first enabling businesses to streamline their fleet management and support fleets of all fuel configurations, nothing competes. With mixed fleets growing in the UK, so too does the need to have a more dynamic solution to help drivers fuel or charge their vehicles. It simplifies payment for EV charging, both at home and on the road and is the only solution in the UK that allows customers to pay for both electric and traditional fuelled fleets using one card.

Already the UK’s leading fuel provider for coverage across 90% of fuel sites, Allstar’s charging network now offers the largest and fastest EV network. Together they provide businesses with ultimate flexibility across their total fuel and charging expenses to help ease them through the ever-evolving landscape.

To further simplify the offering, Allstar will begin the rollout of a new Allstar Chargepass card, replacing the Allstar One Electric card to consolidate the solutions. The cards will be issued to new customers from mid-May and existing customers once cards expire to ensure no unnecessary wastage of plastic.

Ashley Tate, MD, Allstar Chargepass UK, commented: “Growing our EV network has always been a top priority for us, Allstar built its reputation on its best-in-class provision for vehicles and has the largest fuel network in the UK. We have long understood the need to duplicate this effort to support EV customers in the same way. As such, it is a true milestone to announce that we, and only we, offer customers the largest EV charging network in the UK too.

“Unlike other companies who can only offer fuel or EV offerings, nothing competes with Allstar Chargepass. To be able to provide for all configurations of charging and refuelling is an industry first that we are proud to offer our customers wherever they are in their transition journey.”

He added: “Not only does it cover all four corners of the UK and continues to scale up, but it also equips customers with the fastest charging network in the UK.

“We are proud to stand tall within the industry to deliver Allstar Chargepass: the best proposition for the many companies looking for a solution that can do it all. We look forward to amplifying this in the coming months to bring even more value to our customers.”
